Back in January, many of us who call Community home made four significant commitments. These commitments help us grow in our relationship with Jesus as well as having an impact in the lives of others.

We’re just past 1/2 through 2016 so I wanted to keep these on your radar as we head for the end of this year, wanting to make the most of the opportunities God places before us in the months to come.

EVERY DAY WITH JESUS

Reading our Bible and spending some time with Him in prayer every day is the launching point to a life that is “in the moment” and aware of Jesus’ ability to work through us each and every day.

If you don’t know where to start, I love the book of James. It’s so practical and hits home with stuff we deal with every day. Find the book of James in your table of contents and then read a chapter a day. When you’re done, start over and read it one more time.

Each day we read we want to invite Jesus to reveal to us what He wants to show us in His Word and then also lead us throughout our day in order to truly shine brightly for Him.
