Christmas Countdown-3

As we countdown to Christmas this week, I want to look at the familiar Christmas passage in Luke 2. Joseph and Mary have made it to Bethlehem and now it’s GO TIME!

Our Lord is born and is laid in a manger. The interesting line at the end of verse 7 is important…still for us today.

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.” (Luke 2:6-7 NIV)

There was no room available…it still describes so many people today. Make sure it doesn’t describe you.

You might acknowledge Jesus is God…and yet be so busy with your own plans, your own family, your own goals, your own agenda…you don’t really have room for Him.

Prayer Prompt: Today Lord, I want to make sure I faithfully make room for you in my heart and in my life. I want you to be in charge. I want my days to be filled with obeying and honoring you. Lead me today…and every day!
