A Country Divided

It didn’t take another election to help us see how divided our Nation is. It didn’t take reporters pointing out the obvious to be reminded how deep the divide feels. For me, however, I hope it’s all a wake up call for us to PRAY.

At the end of this passage in 1 Timothy 2, the Apostle Paul reminds us of God’s primary agenda. He wants everyone saved.

Please continue praying for our Nation, our leaders and…and neighbors. People will be led to God one at a time. Let’s all be loving and leading the next one into a relationship with Christ.

One last thing…whoever our Nation’s leader may be…we have ONE KING: JESUS!

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. ” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT)
