One

As you hike throughout the Joshua Tree National Park you see these crazy, quirky trees. And so often, they are standing alone. But one tree, all by itself, is enough to have you stop in your tracks and take it in. Each one is so unique.

Each of us has been made to be unique, and yet we’re all called to follow this one command. There are more, but this one sums them all up. It stands alone.

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:13-14 NIV)
