What’s the key to becoming like Jesus?

There are several things we can do to cooperate with God and His plan to help us become more like Jesus. One thing, however, is key. It’s simple, it’s clear, it’s powerful…OBEDIENCE.

Follow the Leader! Remember that game? As we watch Jesus in action, listen to His teaching, absorb His attitude and motives…we can take a step each day in becoming more like Him.

We can read our Bible, go to church, and pray…but if we don’t DO what we’re learning, if we don’t OBEY what He’s saying…transformation just won’t happen.

“We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.”  (1 John 2:3-6 NIV)
