Who’s in Charge?

A big thanks to Donnie for getting our series, “But Jesus Said” off the ground. I’ve really been looking forward to this!

In his introduction to the sermon on the mount study, where we’ll be for the next 6 months, Donnie ultimately gave us the big picture of these three chapters in Matthew.

“Jesus is challenging us to live our lives with him in charge.”

It’s the ultimate decision we make, not one time, but daily. Is Jesus in charge of your life? Look through today’s schedule and events. How can Jesus be in charge of each of the things on your schedule or to-do list?

“The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31 ESV)
