Reflection Thoughts from Lake Fulmor

The reflections off of this special little lake are spectacular. However, not all reflections are perfectly clear. This got me thinking about our current situation.

While we’re in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we can’t clearly see all the good that will come out of it. We can get glimpses, but we don’t, yet, have the whole picture from God’s perspective.

Someday we will. In fact, there will be a day when it ALL will make sense!

“Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” (1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT)

Empty Buildings, but Full Hearts

That was most certainly with weirdest Easter ever! Church buildings empty around the world, but God was still working!

I loved getting to do a Facebook live event Sunday evening and just walk through some of my thoughts on the day.

If you missed that, here’s the big take-a-way from Easter 2020. God has used this pandemic to get the Gospel into more homes than ever before on a single day in human history! The church buildings were empty, but NOTHING can stop the church!!!

Thank you Jesus!

Is this IMPORTANT or what!?!

How special, how significant, how needed is the Easter story this year???

I’m not sure there’s ever been a time (in my lifetime) when the amazing, powerful and personal message of the Gospel has been more needed than it is right now.

With stress and anxiety at all time highs, this weekend we’ll be looking at how the Easter story breathes hope, peace and promise into our very real needs.

Powerful reminder and perspective

The early Christians had their own battles, their own unique circumstances that easily could discourage them. However, Paul was a master of delivering perspective in the midst of the pain.

So, as we start yet another week with more and more restrictions on our movements, remember our God is still at work.

While we don’t have control of what’s happening on the outside, make sure you’re giving Him full control of you on the inside!!

“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 MSG)
