What if we didn’t?

What if we didn’t?

In my daily reading I came across a passage that gave me something to think about for a while. In 1 Samuel 12, the prophet Samuel is addressing the people of Israel. He says something about himself and something about them I took note of.

1-For himself, he says he’d be sinning if he failed to pray for them. I guess I never thought of prayer like that. Who has God put on your heart? We should not fail to pray for them.

2-For Israel, they were to fear the Lord, serve Him and remember all He had done for them. The very same things can be done by each of us. Fear, Serve and Remember. Before you move on with your day, thank Him for something He recently did for you.

“As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.” (1 Samuel 12:23-24 NIV)
