Did you notice?

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll see I haven’t changed the verse of the day at all this week. It’s my theme verse as we approach Easter.

Since God wants His house full, please consider your part in this. Be prayerful and watch for the opportunities God sends your way. (I tell about a good one this weekend.)

Be praying for your TOP FIVE and be ready for anyone else God connects you with in this last week as we approach Easter.

Who are you encouraging today?

This is more than just saying, “nice hit.” We’re talking about encouraging someone to come to our Easter services. We’re only a week away, so get those invite cards and keep encouraging people to join you!

One of the reasons we pray for our Top Five is so that God would open our eyes to opportunities that pop up along the way. Be ready, pray and watch for those moments for when a personal invitation will be a hit.

Guaranteed to make your day!

There are few real guarantees in this life, but I’m going to give you one. May I be so bold as to let you know you could experience something really special this week.

It’s simple really. All you have to do is introduce someone to Jesus. Yep. That’s it. Guaranteed to make your day.

As we saw this past weekend, Jesus is serious about getting the invitation out. So, who are you inviting this week. It won’t just make your day…it might just make theirs!

What if you changed the question?

We typically ask “what’s in it for me?” Marketers call this the WIFM for short. You ask that question regularly…and so do I. However, what if we changed one word?

Even in talking about our relationship with God, many people highlight what God has done for them…WIFM.

What if we, who call ourselves followers of Jesus, began to ask, “What’s in it for Jesus?”

That might just sound a little strange. After all, what does He need? It’s not about a “need” as much as it’s about what is DUE HIM…Honor, Respect, Worship…

The next time we show up at a church service, let’s not ask “What’s in it for me?” Let’s ask “What’s in it for Jesus?” And then let’s give our best to Him because He ALONE is worthy of that kind of worship.

By the way, it’s not just about a worship service. Our life is to be worship! So I ask you, “What’s in it for Jesus?” Seriously…this is not an “April fools” post.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Luke 4:12 NLT)

YOU can make a difference. Want to know how?

While we’re into our BE A LIGHT series, taking a deep dive into what Jesus meant when He challenges us to be the light of the world, we can also look at this another way. Being difference makers and change agents isn’t only understood with the imagery of “light”. Jesus said we can also understand this if we think about “salt.”

So here you go, consider how you might be able to add value, seasoning, encouragement, joy, hope and more in an otherwise drab, and often discouraging world. Consider how your genuine love for others might just be the secret ingredient in bringing those God-flavors to those who need Him most.

“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.” (Matthew 5:13 MSG)
