Remember this: There is no invitation as special as a personal invitation! So, we are all talking to and inviting our neighbors, co-workers, classmates and all we come in contact with. But we want to take this even further, so…

Stepping In: Getting things started!

1-The church gets hit pretty hard from some in our culture, and at times, rightfully so. However, discuss for a bit the things you LOVE about the church? What are some ways we are getting it right?

2-Share one experience of when the church functioned in a powerful way in your own life?

3-How do you think being a part of the church has changed YOU?

Building Up: What is God Saying?

Read Acts 2:42-47, then answer the following question:

1-Go through the list of commitments you see in verse 42. How does each commitment have the power to affect positive change in our lives? What have you seen happen in your own life when you do any one of these four things?

2-How do these verses line up with our EPIC Life commitments (Every Day with Jesus, Practical Love, Intentional Ministry, Comprehensive Investment)? What are some of the personal results of making and following through with these commitments?

3-Check out verses 43-47. What things characterized the people who were a part of this early movement? What makes these “marks” of Christianity attractive to those who may be far from a relationship with God?

4-“Changed people, change people!” How do the commitments we’ve talked about today naturally lead to a growing, thriving church? Why is it important to note in verse 47 that it was God who was adding to their number daily? Why is it “daily” and not just at a church service?

Living Out: How do I obey?

1-Which commitment that we talked about is one you know you need to work on more? What could happen if you followed through and did it over the long haul?

2-What are some things we can all do together to ensure our Easter service in the Stadium helps people see what the church can really be like?

After Andrew’s departure at the end of 2014 we immediately started looking for a new worship leader. However, we’ve discovered some pretty interesting things along the way.

For the last three months now we’ve had a number of different people come in to lead worship for us…and it’s been amazing.

I wanted to take a quick moment and let you know where we are on the whole “search” idea. While we haven’t closed the door completely on finding one person to be our worship leader, we are now working hard to see if we can continue having a variety of people come and lead us.

Each model has its pluses and minuses, but I’d have to say the vast majority of those who’ve commented have loved the variety. Each worship leader brings their own unique style and personality. And I, for one, have been thoroughly encouraged by each leader we’ve had on our stage.

Every person who’s been with us has commented on how much they like being at Community. Hey, I already know it’s a special place, but many are figuring out their is something really amazing going on right here in Hemet!

So, for now, we’ll continue to have different people lead. You’ll see some of the same familiar faces back again and we’ll throw in some new ones too.

In fact, this weekend, our own Megan Willerford is leading! It’s going to be very good!!

It’s time to get those Eggs stuffed with candy and ready to go for the massive (10,000+) Easter Egg Hunt at the stadium.

You can do this as a family, with your LifeGroup or grab a bunch of friends and have an egg-stuffing party!

We can’t put chocolate in the eggs, because they’ll melt…but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring chocolate to the egg-stuffing party! You eat the chocolate while stuffing the eggs. (You’re welcome!)

Here’s what we need…and lots of them.

FILL EGGS with hard candy that is individually wrapped!
NO CHOCOLATE CANDY.
NO CANDY THAT WILL MELT.
NO GUM.
NO MESSAGES IN THE EGGS PLEASE.
Please SCOTCH TAPE each egg shut!

All candy is due before or by March 29. Bring them to the office during the week or drop them off at a weekend service.

On March 29th, hundreds of Community volunteers will meet together at 4pm to make our final preparations for the big day.

ALL TEAMS are required to be there. We’ll give an overview of the day, including the significant changes we’re making this year, and we’ll do our specific team training.

This training event will also include PIZZA! So don’t eat before you show up.

We’ll have a walk-thru at the stadium and our annual prayer circle on the field.

If you’re already signed up to help or you’re thinking about it, plan on joining us for this vital training event.

March 29, 4pm at the our Worship Center.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of hundreds and thousands of people in our Valley. It’s gonna be EPIC!
