When we make a decision to follow Jesus we’ve taken the first step. The next step, what we’ll be describing the following three weekends at Community, is key.

I believe these next three weeks will be huge for us as a church. We’ll be spending some time with this focus: “When the Church Gets it Right.”

What would it look like, be like and even feel like to be a part of something God really had in mind for us as we entered into a relationship with Him…together?

I can’t wait for this!! 

And again, if you want to get baptized this weekend, simply bring your swimsuits/shorts and a towel. We've got a t-shirt just for you. Check in at the information table out front about 15 minutes prior to the service starting.

I have to say thank you over and over again for all of our LifeGroups, families and individuals who brought in the eggs. I love this picture…it kinda says it all.

The children’s ministry team did an amazing job of managing all those eggs as well as putting together a lot of fun for our kids. This picture doesn’t show everything going on, but you get a feel for the fun.

Everyone who made a decision to give their life to Jesus at the Easter service and would like to get baptized can take the plunge this coming weekend at one of our services: Saturday 6:30 pm, Sunday 9:00 & 10:45 am. Perhaps getting baptized is something you’ve been wanting to do for a while. Well, this is the time! Here’s what you need to do to be ready.

Practically speaking, just bring a pair of shorts or swimsuit and a towel. We’ll have the t-shirt for you to wear (which will be our gift to you).

Come 15 minutes early and check in at the information table. If you’re coming to the Saturday evening service, be there at 6:15 for the 6:30 service. Be there at 8:45 for the 9:00 or 10:30 for the 10:45 am service on Sunday.

The last thing I’ll encourage you to do is invite all of your friends and family members to join you for this very special moment. If they don’t ordinarily go to church, it will be a great way to introduce them to Community.

There is no doubt that this year’s Easter service was the best yet. Here are a few quick observations. 

*It still amazed me as I watched God fill this place up.

*Loved hearing from people who said it was last year’s Easter service that changed their lives. Now they were here, new and different people, and cheering on the next wave!

*A full heart as I thought of the hundreds of volunteers who made this day happen.

*Absolute joy when I saw a couple hundred people come forward to surrender their lives to Jesus and trade in their crumbs!

*Tears of joy when one young lady we’ve been praying for throughout the past 8 years came to tell me she’s ready to get baptized!

*A whole lot of people told me, “We can’t wait for next week!” So…I’ll be seeing you all soooon!

A year of praying and preparing have come to an end. Now it’s time for the party. We’ll be gathering in the Hemet High Stadium this Sunday for a real celebration.

It may be cool first thing, but the sun should be out the whole time, so bring a hat, sunscreen and a jacket. 

One more thing…bring a heart ready to meet your Creator in a very special way!
