Are they in good hands?

I watched with such joy as our Student Ministry leaders served our students this past Wednesday night at the Back To School Kick Off.

We have such a great group of leaders!!!

Pray for them. Our kids are back in school and they need your prayers too.

I simply love the fact we have so many great people who want to invest in the lives of our Students. They are truly some special people!!

“The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.” (1 Timothy 1:5 NLT)

Are you ready for the race?

Ford Vs. Ferrari is a great movie with an amazing theme. I can’t tell you all about it now, but this weekend at our AT THE MOVIES series…we’ll get into it.

Know this. God can use ordinary people to do extraordinary things. You are not too young, too old, too tall, too short… you get the idea. God can use you!

I hope to see you in person this weekend on Thursday night at 6:30pm or Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45am.

“Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. Who’s fault is it?

The pain we face is not always a result of our own decisions. To be honest, there are times it just doesn’t make sense.

However, as we learned this past weekend, our decisions matter. Life with its consequences or blessings have a lot to do with the choices we make along the way.

The following verses in Galatians help us see a bigger picture. As you read them, commit today to make choices this week that will please the Spirit and bring God’s blessing.

“Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” (Galatians 6:7-10 NLT)

Usually, I’ll use my own pictures for this blog, today is a bit different. Michelle and I got to see the movie “Sound of Freedom.” WOW!

I typically go to movies to escape reality, but in this case it was a REALITY GUT CHECK!

The movie is very well done. It draws you in without being as horrific as it could have been. The fact that it’s based on a true story made it even more compelling.

If you haven’t seen it…please do. Spend the money and see it in a theatre. Then, spend some time in prayer and ask God to keep this burden alive in your heart.

Jesus words you can read here are repeated in this movie…
