Adventure time. Who’s in???
I love the adventure found in mountain biking and jeeping. The thrill of discovery and not always knowing what’s around the next corner always brings a certain level of joy to the experience.
Following Jesus is definitely an adventure. We don’t always know what’s around the next corner or what’s waiting on us later in the day, but we do know this: HE IS WITH US!
Jesus never promised safety or comfort (you know, the stuff that litters our prayers most of the time).
When we follow Him, we don’t always know what’s going to happen, but I don’t want to be anywhere else. What about you?
“Then he told them what they could expect for themselves: “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat—I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?” (Luke 9:23-25 MSG)
