Who’s got your back?
The early church faces persecution and violence. This movement of love and peace was often met head on with hate and pain.
Today, especially in America, we have it pretty good.
However, I’m struck with something Paul says to the church in Philippi. He encourages and challenges them to stand together…fight together.
In a battle, you have to trust the guys who have your back. So who are you standing with? Who are you taking your stand with? Who do you trust, love, help, learn and grow with?
“Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.” (Philippians 1:27 NLT)
