Are you ready to make every effort?

“Grace is not opposed to effort, it is opposed to earning. Earning is an attitude. Effort is an action.” -Dallas Willard

As Peter wraps up his second letter, he encourages the followers of Jesus to MAKE EVERY EFFORT. This echoes what he says in chapter one as well. 

We aren’t going to earn our way to heaven, but with our effort we can make it possible for someone else to get to heaven. The way we live makes a difference. The way we love makes a difference. The way we introduce people to Jesus makes a difference for them for all eternity!

“And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.” (2 Peter 3:14 NLT)
