Are You Ready?
When was the last time you visited a cemetery? How long has it been since you walked the tombstones and grave markers? Did you take the time to read the names and dates?
Even in our local cemetery, you’ll find people that lived to be more than one hundred years old. You’ll also find those who lived for only days.
Men and women, boys and girls of all races, backgrounds and experiences fill cemeteries across this globe.
I’m not trying to be dreadful, just realistic. Maybe even optimistic. You see, we only live once…HERE. There is more to life than this one life. In fact, we were made for more.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)
Not only has God made us for eternity, He is ready for us when our time here has ended. Are you ready?
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’” (Revelation 21:3-4 NIV)
