Believing IS Seeing
Walk by FAITH and not SIGHT. I do understand the concept here, but I also know that our FAITH is not completely BLIND.
God calls us to faith, to trust Him. We may not always see where it’s going or what He has in mind, but we follow anyway. That’s faith. That’s trust.
However, God gives us plenty of ways to see Him along the way. Our faith is built on experience and our trust is strengthened by the things we can see.
Anytime I gaze at a sunset, I’m reminded that my God is big, powerful, creative and He is surely “large and in charge.” So, when I’m going through something, what I can see of God’s powerful handiwork gives me the confidence to follow Him when I can’t see exactly where I’m going.
So, let me ask you this: What has God asked you to do that you’ve been reluctant to obey? Maybe, just maybe, you’re not looking around enough to see how absolutely capable He is. You can trust the One who is all-powerful and all-loving.
On top of all that, when you believe…you will see!
“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT)
