Camaraderie

Camaraderie

I hardly play golf anymore. I guess I’d rather be on my mountain bike, but there are some things I miss about it. For example, there is a lot of interaction with your friends as you play. I used to enjoy golf with the same guys every week. We developed our own inside jokes. We turned anything into a song. We laughed WITH and AT each other.

We’ve probably all experienced this God-given need for human connection. In the church, and especially through our LifeGroups, we have so many great opportunities for this powerful connection to be fostered.

Sign-ups for our LifeGroups at Community are going on now. So, grab a friend, find a LifeGroup and get started!

At the end of the day, I want each of you to have people in your life who know you well enough to say stuff like this:

“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” (Colossians 3:6 NIV)
