Christmas Service Countdown

This coming Saturday the 23rd (5:00 & 6:30pm) and Sunday the 24th (5:00 & 6:30pm) we will gather to celebrate the Christ of Christmas!

As you and I prepare to go out and invite our friends, co-workers, neighbors and acquaintances I want you to take notice of something Mary said when she heard the news of what God had planned for her.

Knowing how a child in conceived, she was a little perplexed by this new turn of events and asked how this was going to happen. Notice she didn’t say it wasn’t likely or have a smug dismissal of something previously thought impossible. She listened to the angel’s explanation and then responded with the words I hope continue to come from my heart as God directs my path:

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.” (Luke 1:38 NIV)
