Closer than you think

You don’t have to go half way around the world to find someone alone, hungry or in need. As I’ve been in Africa or Cambodia I’ve seen extreme poverty and I’m thrilled we’re helping out there. I’m also excited to be a part of a church that cares about those across the street.

At the church office we have a list of families who could use some help this Christmas Season. If your family or a group of friends would like to help someone, please contact the office (929-2135) and they can connect you with someone who could use your support.

After all, when we want to do something for Jesus on His birthday…here’s how He said we can:

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’” (Matthew 25:34-36 NIV)
