As I sit in Starbucks and work on this blog, I’m surrounded by people talking, laughing and enjoying their morning. That’s good. However, I’ve also been listening to a guy listen to music on his phone for the last 20 minutes. I guess he never sprung for earbuds. Another guy is watching videos on his phone…again no ear buds. All this while to store plays its music over the speakers.
I wonder if they even think about how their music is clashing with the other music provided by Starbucks. I’m gonna guess not.
Don’t get me wrong. This isn’t a rant, it’s just a moment of reflection on thinking about how our actions really do affect others. Trust me, I don’t come here for peace and quiet. I come here to see people!
People may not notice how you waited to hold the door open for them or let them go in line first because you have a long order…but sometimes they DO. For those moments…don’t give up being kind, considerate and loving!
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NLT)
