Faith in your week
Hebrews 11 is worth your time. In fact, I encourage you to take the time to read the whole chapter. It’s rich and deep and inspiring.
Since my blogs are brief, I’ll get right to the point. Today, as you start a new week, I want you to look ahead at your week’s schedule and see where MORE FAITH will be required. What’s happening this week where you’ll need to seriously lean on God as your strength?
I know we need Him all of the time, but hopefully you know what I’m getting at. Let’s say you have a big meeting on Thursday or a confrontation on Wednesday that has you a bit shaken. Start NOW praying and seeking God. Seek His help, His wisdom, His leadership in your daily life.
Faith isn’t “blind.” It is based on what we already know about God. So, take some time, before you head into the difficult things this week, and remind yourself of how God has already showed you He is capable of helping you again this week.
“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. …It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:1-2, 6 MSG)
