Feelin’ Stuck?
I have some of my best thinking time while alone on my bike. Just this week I had a great idea. (I’ll tell you about it someday.)
Today though, I just want you to figure out where and when you have your best thinking time. When is your mind less cluttered with your massive “to-do” list? Where can you reflect? Is there a place you can go? Is there an activity that seems to unlock something for you?
I got home from my ride and immediately started making notes of things I had been working on in my mind. I didn’t want to waste what seemed special. I wanted to capture it before the massive “to-do” list took back over. Do you know the feeling?
I’ve talked to people who do there best thinking on their back patio. For others it’s a quiet room in their home. Perhaps, most of us just need to get outside and get away from anything that would occupy our minds with the “usual” stuff.
I want to give you an assignment. Find your time and place for great thinking and then make a habit of getting there. You may not have a breakthrough on your first day, but it will come. Ask God to guide you into a solution to that problem. Beg Him for a spark to ignite a new reality.
“Show me how you work, God; School me in your ways. Take me by the hand; Lead me down the path of truth. You are my Savior, aren’t you?” (Psalm 25:4-5 MSG)
