This coming weekend at Community we’ll be starting a new series. This series launches our theme for the next season of ministry as a church family.
This theme: FIRST PLACE will be focused on answering this question: What does it look like in our lives when Jesus is truly in FIRST PLACE? You can get very specific with this: What should my marriage or career look like? How should I raise my children? How can my bank account or free time be influenced by letting Jesus truly have FIRST PLACE in my life?
While we’ll spend a year unpacking it, our new series will dive into the book of Colossians where the Supremacy of Jesus is clearly proclaimed.
Whether you go to Community or not, I invite you to read through the four chapters of this little letter and begin to answer the question for yourself: Is Jesus really in FIRST PLACE in MY life?
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:15-16 NLT)
