Happy Birthday to Me

Every birthday forces you to reflect and look back, as well as, look forward into the future. My birthday is today, so I’ve been doing a little of both this week.

Looking back, I know I’ve been blessed. Life has not been without its challenges, but I know that I have experienced life in a very good way most of my years. I grew up in a great family, have an amazing wife, two fantastic children, a remarkable son-in-law and of course ONE AMAZING GRANDDAUGHTER! I get to serve in a very special church and have friends who seriously have my back. Thank you God!!

Looking forward, I have one prayer I keep coming back too. It’s actually a prayer of Moses recorded for us in Psalm 90. You can read the whole thing, but today I’ve been staring at verse 12.

I don’t know how much time I have left. There are no guarantees, but I do want to make the most of the time I have and honor my Lord with every moment He gives me.
