He will do this Himself!

God is more than just “willing” to take on our pain and burdens and disappointments. He is ABLE to do something about it. We know from Romans 8:28 He can work all that stuff out for His good purpose in our lives.

Peter echoes this whole idea by first telling us to cast all our cares on Him…because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). He then proceeds to take it to a whole new level when he reminds us that God is more than just willing, or is more than just someone who cares. He will, in fact, restore us and make us strong. HE WILL do that!

I’m not sure what has been difficult for you recently, or just what has possibly broken you, but here is a promise you can cling to…

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:10-11 NIV)
