Home is what you make it
Ever wonder why some people have a great marriage and others struggle? Keep in mind, it takes two to have a great marriage, but, a great marriage is something we work on. It doesn’t just happen, it’s definitely not an accident.
Seeing a great house is evidence of a creative architect’s blueprint, exceptional contractor and a team of skilled workers.
In the case of this house (nest), you know its location in the tree’s shade and security was no accident. Each twig was carefully placed to accomplish the purpose of creating a home. If you’ve ever watched a nest being built, it takes time…and care.
The more time and care you give to your marriage, your family or your friendships, the more spectacular they’ll be.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” (Philippians 2:3-4 NIV)
This weekend at Community, our lesson, Making A Marriage Great Again, is rated PG-13. So, if you have younger ones who sometimes come with you to BIG church, get there a little early and have them check into Kid’s Church.
