Interested or Interesting?

Interested or Interesting?

I don’t know where I first heard it, but it’s been on my mind a lot recently. Here’s the idea: It’s more important to be interested than interesting!

When you meet others, do you start off talking about yourself, trying to impress, trying to let them see just how interesting you are? OR…do you ask questions, genuinely interested in them?

I’m convinced good questions are the key to showing an interest in others. I’m seriously convinced that what someone needs is for someone to take an interest in them! Who can you take an interest in this weekend?

Think about this for a moment, then read this verse…

“Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” (Philippians 2:4 NLT)
