The Lesson I got from Seaweed

The Lesson I got from Seaweed

I took this shot Monday night in San Clemente and posted it yesterday on Instagram. Here’s what I said when I posted it:

“Something as simple as seaweed. We typically ignore it, but there is detail and beauty in it all. We do the same thing with people. Stop and notice someone who is normally overlooked. Take an extra second out of your day and make them feel human again!”

I wanted to follow up this thought on the blog today with this additional thought: Isn’t that what God does for us?

After-all, none of us are “good” like God. It would be easy for Him to dismiss us or overlook us or just simply move on. And yet, because of His love, He runs toward us (Luke 15:20). We, as shattered and discarded as we may feel, have never escaped His notice. Never!

I don’t know if you’ve been feeling ignored or dismissed or shunned, but just in case, I wanted to remind you that God hasn’t forgotten you. In fact, He never took His gaze off of you!

“Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.” (Psalm 51:16b MSG)
