Building Up: What is God Saying?
Read Matthew 25:14-18. In Jesus’ story, why didn’t everyone get the same amounts of money? How does this story help us understand “real life”?
Read Matthew 25:19. What does this verse remind you of? How does it challenge you? What kinds of things are we going to be held accountable for? (See if you can come up with a top 10 list.)
Read Matthew 25:20-23. The first two servants did well. It just says they “doubled” it. What are some ways we can double our life’s gifts for the cause of Christ?
Read Matthew 25:24-27 Playing it safe is often seen as a good thing, but not here. Why isn’t it? What was the master really looking for in this servant? Is playing it safe something that should define a Christ-followers life?
Read Matthew 25:28-30. What do you learn from these last few verses? What questions do they raise?
