Stepping In: Getting things started!
1 – Even people who read the Bible regularly mention they wished they read it even more. What happens to us when we read the Bible? (Every Day With Jesus)
2 – Which translation do you read from the most…and why?
3 – What helpful tools have you used as you study the Bible?
Building Up: What is God Saying?
Read Psalm 119:5-6. How does our obedience and “not be put to shame” go hand in hand?
Read Psalm 119:9-11. Young or old, God’s Word can help us stay pure. How can God’s Word help you with being pure in a corrupt and depraved culture?
Read Psalm 119:15-16. What could it look like for us to “meditate” on the word of God each and every day?
Read Psalm 119:35-37. How can God’s Word direct our path and keep our eyes away from the traps this culture offers up regularly?
Read Psalm 119:50. Share some promises from God’s Word that give you great hope and comfort.
Read Psalm 119:71. How has pain helped you see things in God’s Word that were previously unnoticed or maybe unimportant to you until then?
Read Psalm 119:103-105. What do these verses remind you of regarding your own experience with the Word of God?
Read Psalm 119:176. How can God’s Word help get us back on track when we’ve strayed?
Living Out: How do I obey?
1 – Besides reading your Bible every day, what other commitments or changes do you want to make as a result of our study?
2 – Take a moment and make a list of people you’ll be inviting for Easter. During your prayer time for each other, please lift up those we’ll be inviting!
3 – If you haven’t yet, please send us the info on your LifeGroup’s service project: lin@community.cc.
