Messy HOPE
What a great weekend at Community. My friend Roger Storms shared from the lessons of his own journey through the pain of losing a son to show us the HOPE God brings, even when life is messy.
I loved when he said this:
“Yes there are some dark and messy announcements about Jesus, but they pale in comparison to the hope of what He was going to accomplish!
- God’s Promises will prevail!
- God’s Peace is prevalent!
- God’s Salvation is presented!
- God’s Eternal Hope is paraded!”
This next week we’ll be talking about Messy Family. You’re not going to want to miss this one!
“Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, ‘This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.’” (Luke 2:34-35 NLT)
