Out of just plain curiosity, I looked it up. There are 9,956 different species of birds in the world. I recently saw this one and didn’t even know what it was. Do you?

By the way, there are about 950,000 species of insects! Yes, you read that right.

So what’s the big deal? Our God is a creative God! Very, very creative!

Here’s the kicker. He’s way more than just creative. He, listen to this, HE CARES ABOUT YOU! All those birds??? YOU are more valuable to Him than any of them. YOU!

“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.” (Matthew 6:25-26 MSG)

So, the next time you’re feeling a bit under-appreciated or overly-stressed, simply remember that the supreme Creator of the universe knows your name…He knows your pain…and He cares.
