No finger waggin’

No finger waggin’

Christians are often labeled self-righteous, critical, finger waggin’ people who see the wrong in everyone else. Unfortunately, sometimes that’s true.

However, if we look at the example of Jesus, He himself said He didn’t come to condemn. After you check out His words in John 3, look at how you can change the narrative about Christians today. This doesn’t mean we don’t speak up for what is morally true and best according to God’s Word. It does, however, mean we share with a heart of love and grace each and every opportunity we have to interact with those Jesus died for.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:16-18 NIV)
