If you follow me on my photography feeds: FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM, then you’ve already seen this picture. On Facebook I shared a bit about the story behind the picture:

“Last week we were at our granddaughter’s house (I’m aware other people live there). At one point I looked out the window and the sky was amazing, but it was too late and I didn’t have my camera gear with me. Last night, same granddaughter (our only one), same sky lights up…but this time I ran over to the lake in Menifee and got this!! #alwaysbeprepared”

Well, for this blog I looked up the word “prepared” in my Bible and found it several times. Interestingly enough, several of those times were in reference to God being prepared or having prepared something. In fact, I settled in on this one in Ephesians 2. God has prepared you and I for good works!

So, what are you going to do to be better prepared this week to serve, to help, to encourage, to love and to do those “good works”?

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)
