Rejoice!
Choosing to be joyful when hiking some beautiful scenery or riding on some amazing trails is easy. Choosing joy when life is not so beautiful at the time, well, that’s much more difficult.
Difficult, yes! But, it is doable. The Apostle Paul wrote these words in Philippians 4:4 while sitting in prison. I don’t know what you’re going through, but I know it is possible to find your joy in Jesus, no matter the present circumstance.
If you’re truly in the middle of a painful or difficult situation right now…you’re going to want to read more from Philippians 4:
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7 NIV)
