Ride the Wave

Life doesn’t get more exciting than when we join God in His mission, with His power and His presence. It really is like riding an amazing wave. It’s not our power, but we get to enjoy its power when we position ourself in the path of that wave.

If I’m going to regularly tap into that power and ride God’s wave, I’ll need to keep in mind what it really means to find my life in Him. I’m not asking God to bless my life, but rather I’m joining Him in what He’s blessing. Did you catch the difference? It’s a big one.

Enjoying the power starts when I deny myself and find my life in Jesus.

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?’” (Matthew 16:24-26 NIV)
