So Proud of Her!
“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.” (James 1:12 MSG)
While in Sedona, AZ last week, Michelle rode the most difficult trails she had ever tried. Tennis, not mountain biking, is her thing. So, while she enjoys riding through the groves in our valley, this stretched her abilities and she seriously rose to the challenge!
I was so proud of her. Watching the joy of her accomplishing some new things and pushing herself a little further was genuinely fun.
I share that for two reasons: First, so you all know how cool my wife is (as if you didn’t already know that). Secondly, I want to challenge you to try something new. It doesn’t need to be a sporting activity at all, but try something that will push you, challenge you and prepare you for MORE.
- Stretch your faith by trying something you feel God has been nudging you to do.
- Grow your marriage by doing something new TOGETHER.
- Serve in a way that has no apparent benefit for you at all. Do it secretly and see what God brings out of the situation.
You don’t have to wait for the next “test” that comes your way, go ahead and challenge yourself.
