I Sure Didn’t Expect That!

Last Friday afternoon, Michelle and I jumped in the car and headed to San Clemente to see my sister. We had a great dinner at one of our favorite places and then the three of us headed down to the pier to watch the sunset.

I took my camera and started doing my thang. After some time under the pier, we walked over to get some more shots as the sun was about ready to touch the water.

One girl walked about 15 feet in front of me and stood there to admire the sunset. I couldn’t blame her, but now she was standing in my line. So, I improvised. I got her attention and then asked her to pose for a couple of shots.

After we took a few shots, she came up to me with a big smile and said, “Are you a father? I don’t know if you are, but you have a lot of love like a father. I can feel it.”

We all then got in a great conversation with her and her mother. They are Christians and this young lady, Adaniah, made an impression on all of us.

You never know who you’re going to meet. You never know who’s watching. One thing for sure, you can make a difference in someone else’s life with a big smile and an encouraging word.
