Thankful!
Our Valley has taken some hits in recent years. Many who live here have nothing but bad to say about this place in which we live. However, there is much here to be grateful for, and on this Thanksgiving week, I can think of many things.
For starters, just get outside! There is so much beauty around this valley. We have mountains, lakes, trails, trees and more. The more I’m outside, the more grateful I feel for this place I call home.
Yes, I’m definitely grateful for my wife, children and extended family. I’m blessed beyond what I deserve with them and so many great friends. But there’s even more…
The many people who are “family” to us here at Community give us a genuine reason to be grateful every day. This church is special, and I deeply love and appreciate this unique collection of amazing people. This collection of roof-wrecking change agents will continue to do whatever it takes to introduce this Valley to the ONE who can change everything.
“Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!” (Hebrews 12:28-29 MSG)
