After months and months…and months of the process. The people have spoken. We have a new President. Many other decisions were made that affect us on a National, State or even local level.

Where do we go from here?

1-Let go and trust God with the things that are out of your control.

How? Pray for your leaders…

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV)

Take a moment now and pray for President elect Trump. Pray for wisdom, for humility in service, for the right people to be appointed to lead our Country in key areas. Pray for his family. The burden and stress of this critical position can never be taken lightly.

2-Roll up your sleeves and make a difference where you can have some control.

How? Instead of grumble or complain, go let your light SHINE! Here are two ways you can make a difference right now:

“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 MSG)

While some people will spend most of their lives complaining, followers of Christ spend most of their lives SHINING. Now get out there and make someone’s day!
