Time for Refreshment?

Time for Refreshment?

This weekend at Community we’ll be talking about how we can deal with the speed and pace of life that easily takes its toll on us.

Like a cup of cold water on a sweltering day; soaking in a sunset or going on a hike or sitting with a good friend can refresh and refuel us.

One of those things for many of us is that moment when the church gathers in worship. I’ll hope you’ll join together with others and find your fuel from the One who designed you and knows you best.

With this subject on my heart, these words from Jesus hit so close to home.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG)
