Try new things

Try new things

We all live in a comfort zone of what we know and like. It’s not until we are forced out of our comfort zone that we find we might actually enjoy seething new. Five years ago, because of an Achilles injury, I decided to try mountain biking. It wasn’t long before I was absolutely hooked.

I seriously wish I would have found this physical, emotional and spiritual outlet years and years ago. But, thanks to an injury, I discovered a new love.

Don’t wait until you’re injured or get fired or get dumped to try something new. New can be very, very good. Even if it is out of our comfort zone!

Here’s the best part. This sport has opened up so many new relationships over the past five years. So glad for the friends I’ve met along the way and excited for the opportunities to share with them the ONE who can make all the difference in our lives.

“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” (Colossians 4:5-6 NLT)
