Was it the donut?
Was it the chocolate donut? Was it the fun he had in Children’s Church? Was it the fact that he was holding his mommy’s hand right before I saw him?
I don’t know the burdens we all carry when we walk onto the church property, but one thing I’ve seen over and over. People leave with a smile.
It’s genuine. It’s real. Praise and fellowship tend to lift us. If you’re not “feeling it” this weekend, know that there’s a bunch of people at Community who will be there for you. And, if that’s not enough, the One who created you is FOR YOU!
“Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God—soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.” (Psalm 42:11 MSG)
