What about ME?

What about ME?

Do you ever get tired of always being the one that apologizes first, the one that always gives in first, the one that seems to always put your own needs on the back burner?

While I’m not going to encourage anyone to be a door mat people walk all over, I do want you to see the value of being a genuinely unselfish person.

First of all, you’re clearly following the example of Jesus who came to serve and not to be served. If anyone had a RIGHT to be served…it was Him.

Also, I believe there are life-changing things happening in our heart and character when we put others first.

And oh, by the way, the ones you’re taking an interest in, serving, honoring…they are getting glimpses of Jesus in a tangible way that might just do a work on their heart too.

Don’t get tired of being selfless, just follow Jesus’ lead and reap the benefits.

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” (Philippians 2:3-4 NLT)
