Who has heard?
We’ve talked about it before. We mention it often. PEOPLE ARE WATCHING YOU!
People talk. Like it or not, everyone talks about other people. That doesn’t have to be a negative thing. What if we were giving them something positive or special to talk about? What if they were seeing something in us that was so out of the ordinary, they just had to tell their friends?
Paul opens the letter to the church in Colossae but talk about the word on the street. Look at how he refers to what he’s heard, even from a distance, about them:
“We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.” (Colossians 1:3-5 NLT)
