Yes, it’s spelled QWIK

On Mother’s Day we had a bunch of extended family over for a cook-out and celebration of the mommies. We also had a special visit from our “grand-dog”, Qwik.

She is Samantha and Craig’s beautiful German Shepherd. And…she is, you guessed it, qwik. She also loved her steak bone left over from our great lunch. Of course, that got me thinking…

“Righteous chews on wisdom like a dog on a bone, rolls virtue around on his tongue. His heart pumps God’s Word like blood through his veins; his feet are as sure as a cat’s.” (Psalm 37:30 MSG)

In our series, FAMILY TIES, we getting a lot of our relationship wisdom from the book of Proverbs. In fact, here’s one we started chewing on last weekend.

“Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:9-10)

This weekend we’ll be looking at some of God’s wisdom for Making A Marriage Great Again. Can’t wait!!
