Limited Supply

Later in the day on any Thanksgiving, there is always a moment that leaves you feeling a little sad. It’s the moment when you realize someone else already had the last piece of apple pie. Ugh.

Some things are limited. There’s only so much of them and so when they’re gone…they’re gone.

Love is NOT like that. In fact, if you’ve ever talked to a parent of more than one child, they’ll tell you, “I didn’t know I could love the next one, or two or more any more than I did the first one. But I do.” There is enough love to go around.

I would take it a step further. When we share God’s love and His grace…it only get’s better! It was never intended to hold on to like lost treasure.

So, today, as you run out of somethings…some leftovers…please don’t feel like you have to hold back on the love and grace of God. Pass them on. Be generous. They never run out!

“Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!” (1 Peter 4:10-11 MSG)

ThankFUL

Thanksgiving is finally getting here. However, there is always much to be thankful for. Today, I want to say how thankful I am for all of you! I love our church (and those of you from other places connected with us).

You are a serious blessing to me! Have a great Thanksgiving!!

“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” (Colossians 1:3-6 NIV)

Every Day!!!

His mercies begin fresh every day!

I love that promise. I cling to its truth.

While I don’t know what everyone is going through each and every day, our God does…and He cares. He is worth every ounce of our faith and trust in Him.

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”

The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:22-26 NLT)
