It’s almost time for The Big Serve…THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!

Stepping In: Getting things started!

1-What was the best part of this past week for you?

2-Share something that’s really helped you, encouraged you or challenged in our 12 weeks together as a LifeGroup.

 

Building Up: What is God Saying?

Read Romans 12:1-2, then answer the following questions:

1-What does it mean to offer our bodies as living sacrifices?

2-In what ways does conforming to the pattern of this world keep us from fulfilling our God-given plan?

 

Read Romans 12:3-8, then answer the following questions:

4-Why is humility such a huge part of the church being able to function together at a high level?

5-What are the ramifications of verse 5, when it says, “each member belongs to all the others?”

6-Which gift in this list do you see in your own life? Share a way you could use that as a part of the Body of Christ.

 

Read Romans 12:9-16, then answer the following questions:

7-Share with the group the one verse that means the most to you in this section and tell why.

 

Living Out: How do I obey?

On April 26th, we will be scattered all over this Valley of ours to demonstrate our “Practical Love” for this place we call home. The Big Serve is now just around the corner!

This weekend, April 18-19, you’ll have one last chance to sign up for your project. Talk to your family, friends, or LifeGroup and figure out where you’ll be plugging in. Many have already signed up and some projects already have enough people, so come with a plan B this weekend as well.

THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING! Gotta love The Big Serve. It’s where the rubber hits the road and we get to roll up our sleeves and make a big impact.

I’ll give you more logistic details next week, but know this…we’ll be serving hotdogs and goodies at the church property for lunch on April 26th. So, as you finish up your project, plan on heading back to the corner of Stanford and Stetson for a time of lunch and hanging out!

12 more people took the plunge this weekend! It’s simply awesome to see people of different backgrounds and varying ages take this huge step in their lives and fully surrender to Jesus.

I’m sure we’ll have many more this weekend. In fact, if you’re thinking about getting baptized and have some questions, let me know: john@community.cc.

The powerful effects of Easter and the efforts that made that day a success continue to show us THE end result we’re always after…CHANGED LIVES!

Read Ephesians 4:1-6, then answer the following questions:

1-Why is unity such a priority for those in the Body of Christ?

2-What are the keys for practical unity and harmony given in these verses?

Read Ephesians 4:11-16, then answer the following questions:

4-What is the importance of the role of leadership in the Body of Christ?

5-What are the keys to a great, highly effective Body of Christ that we discover in these verses?

6-What is the significance of the very last phrase in verse 16? Why is that so important in the picture of the BODY of Christ?

 

Living Out: How do I obey?

1-If we’re going to be built up into the church that God wants us to become, as individuals we have to always be Building Up our personal relationship with Jesus. What have you been challenged to do as a result of what we’ve studied in Ephesians 4? What could you do this week to help the “church” be more effective in our Valley?
