Where does my HOPE come from? Part 1

This week, on the blog, I want to focus in on the subject of HOPE as we see it in 1 Peter 1.

Charles Swindoll captures the idea of our being “chosen” with these beautiful words,

“We aren’t just thrown on this earth like dice tossed across a table. We are sovereignly and lovingly placed here for a purpose, having been chosen by God.”

Being CHOSEN is the beginning of understanding the hope we have in Jesus. Life if filled with ups and downs, but our hope comes from the “never changing One.” He is our source. He is our foundation. He is our hope. And amazingly, He chose you and me to be a part of His family!

“You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood.” (1 Peter 1:2 GNB)
